Implementation of the Universal Recycling law (Act 148) will begin this Thursday, January 7, 2016.
Recyclable material (Cans, bottles, plastic, and paper/cardboard) is picked up for free.
Trash for the landfill must be in bags no larger than 33 Gallons AND every bag must have a sticker attached. Act 146 requires that at least 1 recycling container with recyclable item(s) MUST accompany any trash bags or they will not be picked up.
(note: Trash bags in metal or plastic trash bins to keep animals and birds from breaking them open prior to pick up may be placed curbside.)
