The Town of Guildhall Select Board plans to convey approximately 37.7 acres of land on the Morin Road. The parcel, now known as the Town Forest, was axquired byt he Town of Guildhall pursuant to a Tax Collector's Deed dated January 28, 1963 and recorded in Volume S, Page 606, being the same land and premises conveyed to Maurice Hanks by Thomas J. Lewis and Catherine Lewis on June 21, 1946 and recorded on Book R, Page 386 of the Guildhall Land Records.
Any person interested in purchasing the property may submit a bid to the Town Clerk's Office (the Guild Hall), Guildhall, Vermont, during the Town Clerk's hours (see "Town Clerk" on this website) between November 21, 2011 and November 29, 2011. No bids will be accepted after 6 p.m. on November 29, 2011. The Select Board reserves the right to refuse any or all bids, at its discretion.
Interested buyers are invited to inspect the survey recently produced for the Town, but no person is entitled to rely upon it. The parcel will be conveyed as-is, with no warranties, by quitclaim deed.

If a petition signed by fiver percent of the legal voters of the Town objecting to the conveyance is presented to the Clerk within thirty days of the date of this posting of the date of publication, whichever is later, the Select Board will present the question of whether the Town shall convey this real estate as proposed to a special or annual Town meeting.
