Notice: Petitions due for upcoming election

Any legal voter of the Town of Guildhall who wishes to appear on the ballot for the upcoming Town Officer election (to be held 3/5/2013) must turn in the required paperwork to the Town Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2012.  The Town Office will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on 1/28/2012 for the purpose of receiving petitions. 

Two pieces of paperwork are required of candidates: the “consent of candidate” form and the “petition” form.  Both forms can be obtained at the Town Office or online at http://www.sec.state.vt.us/townmeeting/info_candidates.html.

The 3/5/13 election will be for the following offices (please note that School Moderator and School Board are now elected via secret ballot and not via floor nomination):

One (1) Town Clerk, Three-year term
One (1) Treasurer, Three-year term
One (1) Town Moderator, One-year term
One (1) School Moderator, Three-year term
One (1) Constable, One-year Term
One (1) Delinquent Tax Collector, One-year term
One (1) Town Agent, One-year term
One (1) Auditor, One-year term
One (1) Grand Juror, One-year term
One (1) Board of Selectmen member, Three-year term
One (1) Lister, Three-year term
One (1) Cemetery Commissioner, Three-year term
Six (6) Planning Commissioners, Two-year term
One (1) School Board member, Three-year term
One (1) School Board member, One-year term completion
