At their meeting on June 4, 2020 the Guildhall Selectboard voted to open the public meeting space on a limited basis, by appointment, to land record researchers. They also voted to provide title researchers with access to town records in accordance with Vermont’s ACCD Safety and Health Guidelines; to whit:
- Limited opening of the public meeting space, by appointment, to one researcher at a time.
- Before being admitted to the public meeting space the researcher must complete a health survey indicating they have no symptoms of illness, have not had contact with anyone who is ill, and have not traveled outside the local area for more than 24 hours in the past 14 days.
- Both Town Clerk and Researcher must wear a mask and gloves.
- The town will construct a ‘Clerk Counter with Plexiglass sneeze guard’ for the town office doorway.
- The researcher may not enter the town office or vault.
- Town Clerk will provide all the indexes and reference books, print and electronic, to the researcher in the public meeting space.
- Desired town office and/or vault documents will be brought to the researcher in the public meeting space by Town Clerk upon request.
- Copies of said documents can be made by Town Clerk upon request for $1.00/page.
- Disinfection of the public meeting space will take place immediately following use by a researcher.
