The following offices will be up for election at this year’s Town Officer Elections, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014.
One (1) Town Moderator, One-year Term
One (1) School Moderator, One-year Term
One (1) Constable, One-year Term
One (1) Delinquent Tax Collector, One-year Term
One (1) Town Agent, One-year Term
One (1) Grand Juror, One-year Term
One (1) Board of Selectmen member, Three-year Term
One (1) School Board member, Three-year Term
Two (2) Auditors, Three-year Terms
One (1) Lister, Three-year Term
If you want to be on the ballot for any of these offices, please submit the following paperwork (copies of which can be obtained from the Town Clerk or online at
http://www.sec.state.vt.us/townmeeting/info_candidates.html):
1. Nomination form. This is due to the Town Clerk by Mon., Jan. 27, 2013, at 5 p.m. The Town Office will be open from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on that date for the purpose of receiving petitions.
2. Consent-of-candidate form. This is due to the Town Clerk by Wed., Jan. 29, 2013, at 5 p.m. If the office is closed, please slide your form in the mail slot on the front door of the Guild Hall.
Also, please note that Wed., Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. is also the deadline for a candidate to withdraw after he/she has consented to have his/her name placed on the ballot. If the office is closed, please slide your written statement of intent to withdraw in the mail slot on the front door of the Guild Hall.
