If you are eligible to vote in Guildhall and are not currently registered but would like to vote in the statewide primary election (to be held 8/28/2012), you must register by 5 p.m. on Wed., 8/22/2012. The Town Office will be open from 3 to 5 p.m. on that day for the purpose of receiving registration applications.
The Town of Guildhall's Board of Civil Authority will meet on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012, at 6 p.m., at the Guild Hall, for a pre-election meeting. The public is welcome to attend.
The Guildhall Selectboard will meet on Monday, August 20th, 2012, at 7 p.m., at the Guild Hall, for its monthly meeting. The agenda is here.
August 15th, 2012: Water bills due at the Town Office by midnight tonight. Please remember that postmarks are not considered proof of on-time payment. If the Town Office is not open at the time you arrive to pay your bill, please slip it through the slot on the front door of the Guild Hall.
The Guildhall School Board will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 6 p.m., at the Guildhall School; its agenda can be found on the "School Board" portion of this site.
The Vermont statewide primary election will be held on August 28, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 7 p.m., at the Guild Hall. The purpose of this election is to select candidates for statewide offices from the Democratic, Progressive, and Republican parties.
Those wishing to vote by early/absentee ballot may pick up ballots at the Town Clerk's office during its office hours any time between now and the close of the Town Office on August 27, 2012; the Town Office will be open from 3 to 5 p.m. on that date for the purpose of filling requests for early/absentee ballots. Please remember that, in order to be counted, early/absentee ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk by 7 p.m. (the close of the polls) on August 28th. Please contact the Town Clerk for further information. A Special School Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 7, at 5 p.m., at the Guildhall School. A vote will be held to enter Executive Session to consider pending civil action.
This will be a work session for the purpose of creating a mission statement and goals for the Guildhall School. Guildhall School Board members, Guildhall residents, ECSU Supt., and a Vermont School Board Association representative will work collaboratively on this project.
