Rabies Bait Drop field study

8/4/2015

In August, the VT Dept of Health and U.S. Dept of Agriculture's Wildlife Services will conduct an oral rabies vaccine (ORV) field project in 9 VT counties, including Essex. Low flying aircraft will drop vaccine bait in rural areas, and place it by hand in residential areas. No adverse effects from contact with the bait has been reported from field studies in Canada and U.S., but contact should not be made if bait is come across. Details are posted at Town Hall.  Questions can also be directed to the Vermont Rabies Hotline  1-800-472-2437.

Per 17 V.S.A.§2302, I am writing with notice of Progressive Party town caucuses as required in odd-numbered years.

I have set Thursday, September 24, 2015, as the date for members of the Progressive Party to meet in caucus for the purpose of electing town committees. While not every town is able to hold its meeting on this exact date, every town committee will hold its caucus between Sept. 10th and Sept. 30th, per state statute.

Please do not hesitate to contact me or Party Director Kelly Mangan at 229-0800 or info@progressiveparty.org should you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Emma Mulvaney-Stanak
