The Town Office will be open on 4.1.2014 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Guildhall Selectboard will hold its regular meetings on the third Monday of
the month, at 7 p.m., at the Guild Hall. However, the agendas for the regular meetings will be posted as soon as the Selectboard Chair makes them available, and any emergency or special meetings will be posted individually. The annual Town Officer Education Conferences are coming up. If you are a town officer and are interested in attending, please contact the Town Clerk as soon as possible and he will sign you up.
Due to the storm, trash pickup will not take place as usual today, Thursday, 3.13.2014. Instead, trash will be picked up tomorrow (Friday) afternoon.
As usual, there will be two "Bulky Days" this year: the first will be on Sat., July 12th, and the second will be on Sat., November 1. Both events will start at 8 a.m. and end at noon.
Bulky Days are opportunities for Guildhall residents to dispose of large trash items that cannot be picked up by the weekly trash truck. If you have questions about what can be disposed of at Bulky Day, please contact the Town Clerk. Note: The July Bulky Day will also be an HHW (Household Hazardous Waste) event. Here is a list of HHW items. Please note that the November Bulky Day will not be an HHW event. The Hodgdons’ (1025 U.S. Route 2, Guildhall) is now an official location for the Vermont ECycles program. This program provides free recycling of electronics, such as computers, monitors, televisions, and printers. Vermont households, charities, small businesses (10 and fewer employees), and school districts may drop off 7 or fewer devices for recycling.
Items will be accepted on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call the Hodgdons, at 1.802.328.3582. On Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 7 p.m, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation will hold a meeting on the proposed replacement of the U.S. Rt. 2 bridge (Rogers Rangers bridge) between Guildhall and Lancaster. The meeting will take place at the North Country Resource Center, Route 3 North, Lancaster, N.H. The N.C.R.C. will be open one-half hour before the meeting for public inspection of the plans.
The Guildhall Selectboard will meet for its annual orientation and organizational meeting on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at 7 p.m., at the Guild Hall.
