The Guildhall Selectboard's regularly scheduled meeting has been changed from 1/20 to 1/27 at 7 p.m.
Effective 1/21/2014, the Guildhall Town Clerk/Treasurer's office hours have changed to:
Tuesdays, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Fridays, 9 a.m. - noon and 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. Also effective on 1/21/2014, the Guildhall Listers' office hours have changed to: Thursdays, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. Fridays, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. The following offices will be up for election at this year’s Town Officer Elections, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014.
One (1) Town Moderator, One-year Term One (1) School Moderator, One-year Term One (1) Constable, One-year Term One (1) Delinquent Tax Collector, One-year Term One (1) Town Agent, One-year Term One (1) Grand Juror, One-year Term One (1) Board of Selectmen member, Three-year Term One (1) School Board member, Three-year Term Two (2) Auditors, Three-year Terms One (1) Lister, Three-year Term If you want to be on the ballot for any of these offices, please submit the following paperwork (copies of which can be obtained from the Town Clerk or online at http://www.sec.state.vt.us/townmeeting/info_candidates.html): 1. Nomination form. This is due to the Town Clerk by Mon., Jan. 27, 2013, at 5 p.m. The Town Office will be open from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on that date for the purpose of receiving petitions. 2. Consent-of-candidate form. This is due to the Town Clerk by Wed., Jan. 29, 2013, at 5 p.m. If the office is closed, please slide your form in the mail slot on the front door of the Guild Hall. Also, please note that Wed., Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. is also the deadline for a candidate to withdraw after he/she has consented to have his/her name placed on the ballot. The Guildhall School Board will meet on Wed., 1.8.2014, at 6 p.m., at Guildhall Elementary School, for its monthly meeting. The agenda is here.
The popular Cabin Fever Concerts are returning to the Guild Hall this year! There will be three concerts, each starting at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m., on the following dates: Sat., Jan. 11; Sat., Feb. 8; and Sat., March 8. Each concert will start with an open mic., followed by a selection of guest performers, as follows: The Fireside Fiddlers (January); Lee Baker, Katie Rose, and Julia Kamins (February); and Kerry Smith, Tim Berry, & Friends (March). Admission is $5.00 at the door. Refreshments will be available for purchase from the Guildhall PTA. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
Proceeds from the concerts will benefit the Guildhall Public Library, the Guild Hall, the Guildhall Community Church, and Northwoods Hospice. |
