The Guildhall School Board will meet on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., at Guildhall Elementary School, for a special meeting. The agenda can be found here.
By kind permission of the Guildhall Selectmen and Town Clerk, a series of three concerts will be held at the historic Guild Hall in Guildhall, Vermont on the 12th January, 9th February and 9th of March 2013 starting at 6.30pm and ending at 9.30pm. The first half of the program will be an Open Mic session followed by an hour-long performance by Guest Artists. The featured Guests will be: January - "The Fireside Fiddlers"; February - Katie Rose & Suzan Shute; March - Vermont's own "Johnny Cash" soundalike Kerry Smith with Tim Berry. Musicians and singers wishing to perform in the Open Mic section will be welcome to sign up on the night. The admission charge will be $5 per person and refreshments will be available at a small charge provided by the Guildhall PTA during the interval. A 50/50 raffle will be held. All the proceeds will be divided between the Guildhall Church, Library, Guild Hall and The Nothwoods Hospice. A Zoning Permit application has been posted at the Town Office and can be inspected by the public at any time. The permit is for parcel 001-3050 (Owner: Richard and Debra Bourt).
The Citizens of the Town of Guildhall, Vermont who are legal voters of the Town School District are hereby warned and notified to meet at the Guild Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, to transact the following business:
Article 1: Shall the voters of the Guildhall School District increase the membership of the School Board of Directors to five (5) members. The two additional members will serve two (2) year terms. Article 2: If Article 1 passes, to elect a School Director for a term of two (2) years until Annual Meeting 2014. TO THE LEGAL VOTERS OF THE TOWN OF GUILDHALL FOR PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF REAL ESTATE The Town of Guildhall Select Board plans to convey approximately 10.06 acres of land on the north side of the Boucher Road, so-called, in the Town of Guildhall, being the land conveyed to the Town of Guildhall by Quitclaim Deed dated December 28, 2006, recorded in Book 35, Page 432 of the Guildhall Land Records, and being all and the same land and premises conveyed to Richard J. Garrow& Virginia Garrow by Warranty Deed of Ida M. Costello and Richard J. Garrow by Warranty Deed dated April 26, 1988 and recorded in Book X, Page 192 of Guildhall Land Records. Bids were solicited and received by the Town, and the highest bid was in the amount of $11,099.00, which the Select Board intends to accept. Upon closing the sale, the Town will convey a quitclaim deed to the purchaser. A copy of the proposed purchase and sales agreement outlining all the terms of the sale may be inspected in the Town Clerk’s Office.
