The Northeast Kingdom Waste Management District is proposing a 2018 Budget with an increase of less than 1%. The proposed 2018 budget total is $760,519.00. A public hearing on the proposed budget will be held at the Lyndon Public Safety Building in Lyndon, VT on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 7:00 pm
Bulky Day
The Town will conduct “Bulky Day” (noHaz Mat) on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 8 am to 12 noon. This allows residents to dispose of large items not accepted for curbside pickup. There will be one dumpster for bulky items and one for metal. Bulky Day concludes at noon or when dumpsters are full, whichever is sooner. Town of Guildhall part-time Custodian (+/- 100 hours/year) for janitorial and light maintenance duties for the Guild Hall (Town Office) in Guildhall, VT. Working hours are primarily weekend, but vary. Range of pay is between $10 - $15 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Full job description is available upon request. Town of Guildhall Custodian Job Description The custodian is responsible for all weekly, annual, event and seasonal cleaning and maintenance tasks, including, but not limited to: Weekly: Wash/Sweep floors in office, meeting space, hall, kitchen, side and handicapped foyers, basement stairs, and exterior entrance ways; dust office, meeting space, hall, bathrooms and kitchen; prepare trash and recyclables for curbside; keep emergency exits clear; empty basement dehumidifiers; keep bathrooms supplied; Annual: Wash windows inside and out; wash curtains; wash interior walls; remove exterior cobwebs & debris Events: Set and take down chairs and/or tables for town meetings and hall rental events; wash/sweep floors following event; make sure kitchen is clean following an event; insure that doors are locked following meetings and events; Seasonal: Clearing outside entrances – shovel in winter, sweep in summer Maintenance: Minor repairs, as needed (i.e. replace burned out lightbulbs, etc.) 1.
