The listers have sent out this year's change-of-appraisal notices. These notices inform residents whose property values have changed of the changes. If you have not received a notice in the mail by now, your property value did not change.
A Zoning Permit has been posted at the Guild Hall and can be inspected by the public at any time. The permit is for a subdivision on land owned by Melissa and Brian Barney (parcel I.D. # 102-7700).
Water bills for the most recent billing cycle are due at the Town Office by midnight on Thu., 5.15.2014. The Town Office is not open on that day, but you can pay your bill by slipping it through the drop slot on the front door of the Guild Hall. Please remember that postmarks are not considered evidence of on-time payment.

The Board of Selectmen of the Town of Guildhall is requesting letters of interest from Guildhall residents who are interested in serving on a committee tasked with revising the Town's Hazard Mitigation Plan. Please submit letters by May 19, 2014, at 7 p.m.
The Grants Committee will meet on Thurs., 5.8.2014, at 7 p.m., at the Guild Hall, to discuss ongoing activities relating to planning for Guild Hall renovations.
Act 148, also known as the universal recycling law, will dramatically change the way Guildhall residents dispose of trash starting in 2015. To make sure residents have the opportunity to be informed about the changes, the Guildhall Selectboard is sponsoring a public meeting on Wed., May 7, 2014, at 7 p.m., at the Guild Hall, during which Paul Tomasi, Executive Director of the Northeast Kingdom Waste Management District (NEKWMD), will discuss Act 148 and its implications for Guildhall.
The Guildhall Cemetery Commission will meet on Sat., May 3, 2014, at 9 a.m., at the Guild Hall. Agenda items are as follows: call to order; approval of previous minutes; date for DAR ceremony (at Nellie Smart Cem.); Permanent Care interest amount and use; update on Crawford Cem. repairs/insurance; Cemetery's Passumpsic Bank account balance; plan for summer work; other; adjournment.
