The following items are now on sale at the Town Office:
1. The “History of Guildhall, Vermont”, written by Pat Rogers and originally published in 1975, has been reprinted in hardcover by local bookbinders. A limited number of copies are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $60.00 per copy. 2. The “History of Guildhall, Vermont”, written by Everett C. Benton in 1886. The cost is $15.00 (softcover; hardcover copies are not available). 3. Guildhall Notecards: a single notecard is $1.00; a pack of 5 is $5.00; a pack of 10 is $8.00. Riverside Rescue, Inc., is hosting a Rabies Clinic at the Lunenburg Fire Station on Saturday, March 23rd from 1-3 p.m. Rabies, Distemper and Kennel Cough is $12 and Lyme vaccines are $22.
This clinic is open to Guildhall residents who want to get vaccines. However, Guildhall residents will not be able to get dog licenses at this event. The Guildhall Selectboard will hold its regular meetings on the third Monday of the month, at 7 p.m., at the Guild Hall. There is one exception: its March, 2013, regular meeting will be held on the fourth Monday of the month, at 7 p.m., at the Guild Hall.
Therefore, the regular meeting dates will be: Monday, March 25th, 2013 Monday, April 15th, 2013 Monday, May 20th, 2013 Monday, June 17th, 2013 Monday, July 15th, 2013 Monday, August 19th, 2013 Monday, September 16th, 2013 Monday, October 21st, 2013 Monday, November 18th, 2013 Monday, December 16th, 2013 Monday, January 20th, 2014 Monday, February 17th, 2014 In accordance with Vermont’s Open Meeting Law, this notice will serve as the final notice of the Selectboard’s regular meetings; there will not be additional posted notices for regular meetings. However, the agendas for the regular meetings will be posted as soon as the Selectboard Chair makes them available, and any emergency or special meetings will be posted individually. The Planning Commission will meet Tues., 3.19.2013, at 7 p.m., at the Guild Hall, for a working meeting.
As usual, there will be two "Bulky Days" this year: the first will be on Sat., June 15, and the second will be on Sat., November 2. Both events will start at 8 a.m. and end at noon.
Bulky Days are opportunities for Guildhall residents to dispose of large trash items that cannot be picked up by the weekly trash truck. Note: As usual, Bulky Days in Guildhall do not accommodate hazardous waste (paints, paint thinner, waste oil, etc.).
